Essex County Council are responsible for and carries out regular inspections of roads and pavements with in Essex. But issues may come up between these inspections and these can be reported via the Essex Highways Reporting Tool.  These could be potholes or other road surface issues, damaged street lights, overgrown trees or missing lit bollards.

Epping Forest District Council are responsible for collecting recycling and rubbish, housing and planning and building control.

Sheering Parish Council are responsible for the upkeep of the play areas and assets listed on the assest register. We will also be involved in planning applications within the parish area and will review any applications during the Parish Council Meetings.

Should you have an issue that you believe the Parish Council has responsibility for or may be able to either assist or offer advice, please contact primary councillor named below, who has volunteered to respond on the relevant matter.

They will determine what action or advice the Parish Council can offer, advise and inform you accordingly. This will ensure matters can be dealt with efficiently and as promptly as possible, but please be aware Councillors are NOT able to authorise expenditure from public funds (for residents).

Any such expenditure is covered by discussion and agreement at properly convened Council meetings.
